GLENDALE, Calif. — College of the Canyons came away with a 16-5 road victory at Glendale College that was called after five innings.

COC sophomores Kayla Yamane and Alondra Torres both had four RBIs apiece, while Camryn Webb added three RBIs of her own on a 3-for-3 day that also included a walk and four runs scored.

Starting pitcher Megan Wilson (8-6) got the win for her three innings of work. She allowed two hits, two walks and an unearned run.

Canyons (13-10, 5-2) scored multiple runs in every inning, capped by a five-fun fifth inning that extinguished all hope of a Vaquero comeback. Six diffeent players finished the game with multiple hits.

The 16-run output represented the second highest run total of the season for COC. The Cougars have also scored 18 runs on two occasions this year.

The Lady Cougars continue conference play on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. vs. Barstow College.
