COC Defeats Bakersfield College

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - The College of the Canyons baseball team defeated Bakersfield College Thursday afternoon for the college's eighth straight win. Bakersfield College leads the Western State, South standings with a 11-2 record and College of the Canyons is close behind in third place with a 9-4 record.

During the third inning Alex Bishop hit a home run bringing in two other runs and giving the Cougars an early lead of 3-0.

Shortstop Chad DeLaGuerra went 4-5 at the plate and scored two runs for the Cougars.

Canyons will on the road next when they travel to Bakersfield College on Friday, March 22 for a 2:30 p.m. game.
