Marquise Brown Named SCFA Player of the Week

College of the Canyons wide receiver/kick returner Marquise Brown has been named the Southern California Football Association (SCFA) Northern League Special Teams/All-Purpose Player of the Week for his performance vs. Orange Coast College on Saturday night.
Brown, a freshman from Hollywood, Florida, finished the game with five catches for 151 yards and three touchdowns, and three kick returns for 139 yards and a touchdown. He also added another 24 yards on punt returns.
Included among the evening's highlights was a dazzling 34-yard pitch-and-catch from quarterback CJ Williams to Brown with just 14 second to play in the first half.
No. 17 Canyons (2-0) defeated No. 14 Orange Coast (1-1) 42-19 on Saturday in Cougar Stadium.
