COC Men's Golf Wins First Conference Tournament Of The Season

The College of the Canyons men's golf team won its first conference tournament of the season on Monday afternoon, as the Cougars carded a 376 at the Valencia Country Club.

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - The College of the Canyons men's golf team won its first conference tournament of the season on Monday afternoon, as the Cougars carded a 376 at the Valencia Country Club.

COC beat out second-place finisher Santa Barbara by 11 strokes and third-place finisher Glendale by 17 strokes.

Sophomore Luke Kristo turned in a 1-under par 71 to lead the field and was the only golfer to shoot under par on the day. His freshmen teammate Sidney Wolf recorded a 1-over par 73 for the second-best COC score of the day.

The Cougars will travel to Santa Barbara for a tournament on Monday, Feb. 18, at Alisal Ranch Golf Club.
