Canyons Opens Season at Pneumonia Invitational

The Cougars finished second at the best ball tournament which included 16 teams from 15 schools throughout the region.

In its first action of the season, the COC men's golf team competed at the Pneumonia Invitational held at Spring Valley Lake Country Club in Victorville on Monday.

The best ball tournament included 16 teams from 15 schools throughout the region.

Cypress College finished first at the event with a three-man score of 189. Canyons was next in the clubhouse at 194.

Riverside College finished third at 198 and Orange Coast College placed fourth at 199. A second team from COC ranked fifth at 203.

Canyons will begin conference play on Monday, Feb. 20, at Alisal Ranch Golf Course in Santa Barbara.
