Canyons Falls To Allan Hancock In Final Regular Season Game

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - The College of the Canyons men's soccer team was edged by Allan Hancock College, 3-2, on Friday afternoon in the Cougar's final regular season home game of the year.

COC finished the season with a 7-5-6 overall and 5-4-4 in Western State Conference play.

Maayan Schrager scored his first of two goals when Marvin Delgado found him at the 4-minute mark. Two minutes later, the Bulldogs added a goal of their own to tie up the game at 1-1.

Canyons kept the scoring going when Schrager scored on a penalty kick in the 12th minute. As with the first COC goal, Allan Hancock scored two minutes later that would tie up the score. The Bulldogs would add one more goal before the break and COC would not be able to add another goal before time expired.

Sophomore goal keeper Alex Burkevics collected two saves in the loss.
