The College of the Canyons men's soccer team lost its second game of the season on Saturday, after coming up against a strong Cypress College squad that shutout the Cougars by a 3-0 score.
Canyons (0-2) kept things close through much of the first half, before the Chargers (2-1) scored goals in the 34th and 42nd minutes.
Cypress followed up the attack with a third and final goal just seven minutes into the second half.
Meanwhile, the Cougars were forced to play a man down for much of the second half after freshman Arman Tagavi drew a red card from the official.
COC goalkeeper Cristian Arriaga (0-1) faced six shots and made three saves in the losing effort.
