COC track & field student-athletes Jamie Araki, Amanda Finn, Angelina Maldonado, Adam Burke, Andrew Mercado and Jordan Palmer each earned Academic All-State honors.
A dual-sport athlete at Canyons, Carbajal competed in the heptathlon and helped the women's cross country program advance to 2019 CCCAA State Championship meet.
The event featured both a community college meet and a gathering of athletes from four-year schools, with COC registering entrants in both sections.
Canyons combined to win seven events and finished second in five more, with the Cougars boasting two dual-event winners.
COC sophomore Evann Adams won both the 100m (11.03) and 200m (22.25) to give the Cougars a leg up in the team standings.
COC freshman Julius Herrera was the lone event winner, taking the 100h at a time of 15.81.
