Lady Cougars Move to 6-0 with Win Over Ventura

College of the Canyons has yet to experience defeat this season with the Lady Cougars having most recently defeated visiting Ventura College 6-3 on Tuesday, improving to 6-0 on the year.

Taylor Cohen, Mary MacAdam, Jennifer Russell and Jaclyn Wosk each earned singles victories for Canyons, while Nicole Villarta narrowly dropped a marathon match. 

In doubles action Villarta and Cohen teamed to get the first points of the day, with Hannah and Russell also playing to a win.

Canyons is now 6-0 overall and 2-0 in Western State Conference (WSC) competition. Ventura dropped to 2-2 on the year and 1-2 vs. WSC opponents.

COC's next test will come Thursday, Feb. 13, vs. Santa Barbara City College at the Cougar Carts. First serve is scheduled for 2 p.m.
