College of the Canyons finished the season 15-4-2 overall after sharing a Western State Conference (WSC), South Division Championship — the 13th in program history — with Santa Monica College. COC then played in the postseason for a 14th consecutive season, however, the No. 5 seed Cougars were eliminated 1-0 by No. 12 Golden West College, who eventually finished as state runner-up. Canyons capped its conference championship season by seeing 12 players earn all-conference honors, headlined by sophomore forward Bailey Williamson who was named the Western State Conference (WSC), South Division Offensive Player of the Year. Williamson completed an outstanding sophomore campaign by leading the Cougars in goals (13), assists (10) and points (36). Her season assist total tied for the WSC lead, while the Canyon High School alum also ranked third in goals and second in points. Canyons saw five players named to the All-WSC, South First-Team in sophomore Gigi Montiforte and freshmen Mia Sadra, Lily Golphenee, Emily Thompson and Kennedy Crone. Included on the all-conference Second-Team were sophomores Emma Wenz and Leyla Goodman along with freshmen Leila Sadra and Rebecca Ferguson. COC freshmen Racquel Gonzalez and Gisele Saravia were both Honorable Mention selections.

College of the Canyons finished the 2024 season as runner-up in the Western State Conference (WSC), South Division for the third consecutive year, posting an overall record of 14-5-2, while finishing 10-2-2 in conference play. The program recorded its 13th consecutive post-season appearance following an eight-game unbeaten streak to conclude the regular season. Canyons was defeated in the first round of the 3C2A SoCal Regional Playoffs by No. 20 San Diego Miramar in a 3-1 contest. Ten Cougars were named with All-WSC, South Division honors, with sophomore Victoria Martinez recognized as the WSC, South Player of the Year. Her work on the top line led the Cougars with 14 goals, six assists and 34 points across 21 starts. COC sophomores Alexa Garcia, Felicia Marquez, Vivian Martinez and Sofia Soler were all named to the All-WSC, South First Team. Freshman Bailey Williamson and sophomores Ashley Striegel and Gigi Montiforte were named All-WSC Second Team. Honorable Mention recognitions included sophomore Hayley Bench and freshman Leyla Goodman. Victoria Martinez was also honored as one of six Academic Excellence Award winners during the athletic department’s annual Student-Athlete Achievement Dinner. In the spring, Victoria Martinez and twin sister Vivian Martinez both committed to play at Whittier College. Soler also moved on to the next level with her commitment to John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York.

College of the Canyons worked for an overall record of 14-5-4 and went 10-1-3 in the Western State Conference (WSC), South Division to finish runner-up to Santa Monica College. Making its 12th consecutive post season appearance, No. 9 Canyons battled through the first round of 3C2A SoCal Regionals against No. 8 Allan Hancock College to meet the No. 1 ranked Chaffey College in the second round. Chaffey took down the Cougars in a 5-0 result ending their post season run. During the season, Canyons managed to maintain a 15-game unbeaten streak. The Cougars had nine players named with All-WSC, South Division accolades. Sophomore players Natalie Zuluaga-Ramirez, Alyssa Edwards, Jessie Bonsness and Laurel Durkin were named to the All-WSC, South Division First Team. Sophomore Ryan Shepherd was joined by freshmen Ashley Striegel and Vivian Martinez on the All-WSC, South Division Second Team and goalkeeper Hazel Saucedo and sophomore Lizeth Gutierrez were Honorable Mention. Four Cougars signed to continue their career at four-years. Durkin and Edwards signed with Cal State Dominguez Hills, Shepherd with Grand State Valley University and Bonsness with Whitter College.

College of the Canyons finished runner-up in the Western State Conference (WSC), South Division leaving an overall record of 15-4-4 and a conference mark of 10-1-3. This being the 11th consecutive year in postseason play under head coach Justin Lundin, No. 9 COC made program history by advancing to the third round of CCCAA Southern California Regional Playoffs after defeating No. 8 Pierce College 2-1 in the second round of regional play. However, COC’s season came to an end with a 2-0 OT defeat to No. 1 Chaffey College.  COC players combined to rake in 11 postseason awards, starting with WSC Conference Player of the Year Lauryn Bailey. Bailey finished the year with 15 goals, seven assists and 37 points across 23 games. Sophomore goal-keeper Kylie Yuzon earned WSC, South Division Goalie of the Year awards  with a record of 10-4-4, being unofficially credited with 77 saves and 18 goals allowed with a 1.01 goal against average. Four players earned All-WSC First-Team honors including the 2021 WSC Player of the Year Rebekah Brooks. Brooks finished her sophomore campaign with 21 goals, four of which were game winners and three in postseason play. Her performance earned her a spot on the CCCSCA All-SoCal Region First-Team. Joining her on the WSC-First Team was Giselle Gomez, Sascha Marcellin and Natalia Zuluaga-Ramirez. All-WSC Second Team honors included Laurel Durkin, Sabine Yalung and Natalie Quezada. Honorable Mention included Emma Amaya and Naobi Orozco. In the spring COC saw five players commit to four-year universities. Rebekah Brooks committed to San Diego State University, Lauryn Bailey and Kylie Yuzon to Cal State University Dominguez Hills, Sabine Yalung to Life Pacific University and Sascha Marcellin to Texas A&M University Texarkana.

College of the Canyons brought home the program’s 12th Western State Conference (WSC), South Division title and advanced to the postseason for the 10th time in program history. COC finished the 2021 season with an overall record of 14-5-1 and 10-1-1 in conference play. As the No. 12 seed, Canyons was eliminated in the second round of CCCAA Southern California Regional Playoffs by No. 4 Mt. SAC in a 2-1 loss.The team saw 12 Cougars earn All-WSC honors, including the 2021 WSC Conference Player of the Year Rebekah Brooks, making her the eighth player to earn that title in program’s history. Brooks also earned her CCCAA Southern California All-Region and All-State honors. The Cougars had five players receive All-WSC first team awards including Maggie Maldonado, Lauryn Bailey, Shelby Cooper, Sabine Yalung and Kyle Yuzon. The team also saw Katie Russell, Analise Rappe, Lizeth Gutierrez-Cervantes and Sascha Marcellin earn All -WSC second team honors. Head Coach Justin Lundin earned his eight WSC, South Coach of the Year award.

College of the Canyons advanced to the postseason for a ninth straight year after finishing the regular season 12-5-4 overall with a record of 9-2-3 in conference play to take third in the Western State Conference (WSC), South Division. Canyons finished the regular season 7-0-1 down the stretch in achieving this mark. The No. 17 seed Cougars ended their season with a loss to No. 16 Mt. San Antonio College by a 2-1 OT result in the play-in round of the CCCAA Southern California Regional Playoffs. At season’s end the COC had seven players earn All-WSC honors. COC freshman midfielder Emily Perez and sophomore defenders Gracell Magnaye and Celia Franco were named First Team selections. Freshman forward Araceli Castaneda and freshman goalkeeper Aaliyah Lopez were named to the All-WSC Second Team. Freshman midfielders Andrea Marrufo and Maggie Maldonado both earned All-WSC Honorable Mention selections.

College of the Canyons women's soccer played in the postseason for an eighth consecutive year after a season in which the Lady Cougars finished as conference runner-up for the first time in recent memory. COC was 8-8-3 overall and 5-1-2 in Western State Conference (WSC) play to finish two points behind conference champion Antelope Valley College. COC had previously won seven straight WSC titles. Canyons then faced that same Antelope Valley team in the opening round of the CCCAA SoCal Regional Playoffs, falling by a 2-1 final score. COC had nine players earn All-WSC awards with midfielder Crystal Sanchez, forward Gracell Magnaye, utility player Alexa Thornblad and midfielder Giselle Alvarado earning First-Team honors. Defenders Isabella Penaranda and Jenny Patino, midfielder Alondra Solis were named to the Second-Team. Goalkeeper Ana Spross and midfielder Angelina Maldonado were recognized with Honorable Mention selections. Sanchez has since transferred to the University of Hawaii at Hilo, with midfielder/forward Sarah Wong headed to Multnomah University and Alvarado to CSU, Los Angeles.

College of the Canyons won its seventh consecutive conference title, the program’s 11th overall, in a season that saw 12 Cougars earn all-conference honors, including Western State Conference (WSC), East Division Player of the Year Angel Quintero. Canyons has now brought home POY honors in four straight seasons dating back to 2014. Quintero finished the year with six goals and five assists through 19 games, good for 17 points. She was also named to both the 2017 CCCAA Southern California All-Region and All-State teams. The Cougars had five players earn All-WSC First Team honorees with sophomore goalkeeper Jordan Burrow, freshman midfielders Alondra Solis and Crystal Sanchez, and sophomore defenders Justine Hoeft and Hailey Phipps all getting the nod. Phipps was also named both a 2017 CCCAA Southern California All-Region and All-State Team member and a United Soccer Coaches Junior College Women's Division III All-American. Meanwhile, COC head coach Justin Lundin earned his sixth WSC Coach of the Year award, and fourth in a row, after leading the Cougars to an overall record of 17-2-1 and perfect 8-0 mark vs. conference opponents. Canyons concluded its season by hosting L.A. Pierce College in the opening round of the CCCAA Southern California Regional Playoffs in a game that saw the Brahmas advance on penalty kicks. In the spring, Phipps signed a National Letter of Intent with Lubbock Christian University, while Burrows committed to attend Ottawa University.

The College of the Canyons women’s soccer team captured the program’s sixth consecutive conference title in 2016, with 12 players earning All-Western State Conference (WSC) honors for the third time in as many years. COC freshman defender Hailey Phipps was named WSC, East Division Player of the Year after scoring six goals, including three game winners, to tie for second on the team. Earning all-conference First-Team honors for the Lady Cougars were sophomore goalkeeper Kianna Hemphill, freshman forward Angel Quintero, sophomore midfielder Monica Blackstock, sophomore defender Isabella Hochner and freshman defender Daphne Coffey. Freshman defender Justine Hoeft, sophomore midfielder Kailey Marquez, sophomore forward Amanda Balzer and sophomore forward Jackie Mendez were all named All-WSC, East Second Team. Freshman forward Taylor Lopez and sophomore defender Jade Ane were both Honorable Mention selections. COC head coach Justin Lundin was named WSC, East Coach of the Year after leading Canyons to a 12-4-4 overall record and 6-0-2 mark in conference play. The Cougars saw their season come to and with a 1-0 loss to Santa Barbara City College in the opening round of the CCCAA SoCal Regional Playoffs.

The 2015 College of the Canyons women’s soccer team won its fifth consecutive WSC, South Championship in 2015, while compiling an overall record of 14-2-5 and earning a berth to the CCCAA SoCal Regional Playoffs. Following a 1-0 loss to Santa Barbara City College on Sept. 18, the Cougars went undefeated in their final 17 regular season contests before suffering a 2-1 playoff loss to Santiago Canyon College. Twelve players earned All-WSC honors at season’s end, including sophomore forward Marissa Kneisel who won her second straight WSC Player of the Year award. COC head coach Justin Lundin also won the conference’s Coach of the Year award for the fourth time in his career. Kneisel set a new single season record for goals scored (31), while establishing herself as the program’s all-time career leader with 51 career goals and 129 points in her two years as a Cougar. Those numbers helped her earn CCCAA All-Region and All-State team honorees in 2015. After a successful spring semester with the college’s track & field team, Kneisel was named the CCCAA/CCCSIA 2015-16 Female Athlete of the Year award, becoming the college’s first student-athlete to do so.

The COC women’s soccer team had a dominant regular season in 2014 winning the WSC, South title for the fourth consecutive year and going 15-2-3 overall with a 12-1-1 conference record. Canyons outscored its opponents 62-7 during the regular season and won 11 of its final 12 regular season games before being eliminated from the postseason on penalty kicks by Cypress College. Freshman forward Marissa Kneisel was named 2014 Conference Player of the Year and head coach Justin Lundin was named Conference Coach of the Year to highlight a group of 12 COC players who received All-Conference honors.

COC women's soccer earned its third consecutive playoff bid and conference title under fifth-year head coach Justin Lundin. The Cougars dropped the first match of the season Cosumnes River College, before rattling off 16 wins and four ties. The Cougars ended the regular season with a 17-2-4 overall record and 12-0-2 in conference play. After beating Mt. SAC in the first round of the playoffs, 1-0, Canyons was tripped up by San Diego Miramar 1-0 in the second round of the regional playoffs. COC’s all-time leading goal scorer Stacey Atwater was named Second-Team All-American and conference player of the year.

For the second year in a row, the College of the Canyons women’s soccer team won the conference title with an 18-1-4 and perfect 11-0-4 conference record. After being tabbed the No. 2 seed in Southern California, marking the program’s seventh post-season bid, the Cougars run was stopped short in the second round of the California Community College Athletic Associations Regional Playoffs, as the team fell to Ventura College, 1-0. The Cougars finished the season ranked No. 6 in the national rankings, according to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). COC made its first appearance on the national poll under fourth-year head coach Justin Lundin. Canyons appeared as high as the No. 3 team in the nation in early November. Sophomore defender Casey Wesley was named All-Western Region and 11 women’s soccer players were named all-conference.

The College of the Canyons women’s soccer team won its first Western State Conference championship under head coach Justin Lundin. The Cougars finished the 2011 season with a 14-4-3 overall record and a 9-1-2 conference record. COC dominated conference play, winning nine of their first 10 conference games, which included a seven-game winning streak to begin the conference schedule. COC won its first playoff game against Antelope Valley College, 2-0, but was eliminated by San Bernardino Valley College in the next round.
