College of the Canyons was represented on the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Junior College All-American team with freshman Emma Chodur and sophomore Baylee Renfro each earning All-American honors for the 2026 season.
Chodur earned recognition for her singles play, while the duo of Chodur/Renfree were selected as doubles partners.
The pair was included among student-athletes from both the NJCAA and 3C2A.
The criteria for ITA All-American singles honors are finishing in the top ten of the final ITA National Singles Rankings. All-American recognition is awarded to doubles teams who finish in the top five of the final ITA National Doubles Rankings.
Chodur finished her freshman campaign No. 2 in the ITA's 3C2A rankings. Among her many accomplishments this season, Chodur posted a singles record of 26-2 in the spring, finished state runner-up at the 3C2A singles tourney, was the Western State Conference (WSC) Singles Champion and subsequently named the WSC Player of the Year.
The duo of Chodur/Renfro was the 3C2A's No. 3 ranked doubles team after completing the spring season with a record of 21-5 including regular season, conference/state tourney and postseason matches. The pair advanced all the way to the semifinal round of the 3C2A State Championship doubles tourney. That run of success came on the heels of Chodur/Renfro winning the WSC Doubles Championship, the first in program history, and earning All-WSC honors.
As a team, Canyons advanced to the 3C2A Southern California Regional Playoffs for the third time in program history. The Cougars' opening-round win over Riverside City College was the first in program history. COC then lost to No. 1 seed L.A. Mission. College in the second round.
